What it means
Along with, accompanied by: a process or sound runs alongside the main event, often bringing a side effect.
How it is built
伴随着 + noun phrase (often X的 + 发展／普及／火爆), then the main clause: 伴随着节目的火爆，批评也越来越多 (as the show’s popularity soared, so did the criticism).
When to use it
Written and news style; in speech 随着 or 跟着. 随着 says the second change follows from the first; 伴随着 only says they go together. It can be a main verb too: 失眠一直伴随着他.
Watch out
Not a full clause with 了: ✗ 伴随着节目火了，… ✓ 伴随着节目的走红，… Turn the event into a noun phrase with 的.
