Structure
动词 + 了 + 数量 + 宾语 · 没 + 动词（不用 了）
What it means
了 right after a verb says the action happened and is done; 没 + verb says it didn’t happen.
How it is built
Verb + 了 + number + object: 我买了一些衣服 (I bought some clothes). With a plain object, 了 goes at the end: 我洗衣服了. Negative: 没 + verb: 我没洗.
When to use it
Keep 了 after the verb when the object has a number or 一些; 我洗了衣服 on its own sounds unfinished. Answer ……了吗？ with 洗了 or 没洗 (or just 没有).
Watch out
✗ 我没洗了。 ✓ 我没洗。 Drop 了 after 没. And don’t use 不 here: 我不洗 means “I don’t / won’t wash it”.
Examples
我买了一些衣服。
I bought some clothes.
他喝了两杯茶。
He drank two cups of tea.
你洗衣服了吗？——没洗。
Did you wash the clothes? — No, I didn’t.
我没看到他。
I didn’t see him.
