Structure
再 + 动词
What it means
再 means “again” for a repeat that is still to come: a request, a wish or a plan.
How it is built
再 + verb: 请你再读一次 (please read it again), 我想再看一次 (I’d like to see it again). You know it from 再见, literally “see again”.
When to use it
Use it for things not yet done: requests, wishes and plans, such as 明天再穿 or 今天太晚了，我们明天再来吧 (it’s too late today, let’s come back tomorrow).
Watch out
✗ 我昨天再去了。 再 is not for a repeat that has already happened; Chinese uses a different word for that, which comes later.
