Usage and origin
From 陶渊明’s 《归去来兮辞》 (405): 木欣欣以向荣, “the trees, glad, turn towards their blossoming”. Said of plants, economies, causes and whole countries (一派欣欣向荣的景象), and a natural closing wish in a 贺信: 祝贵校事业欣欣向荣.
