正如 来源 所 说／料／知 ， …
What it means
Just as … says, expected or knows: brings in a source or shared expectation that the main point agrees with.
How it is built
正如 + source + 所 + 说／料／知，main point: 正如你所料，他没有来 (Just as you expected, he did not come). 所 + verb makes 'what is V-ed'.
When to use it
Formal speech and writing. Fixed phrases: 正如大家所知 (as everyone knows), 如上所述 (as stated above). Spoken: 就像…说的那样.
Watch out
Keep 所 before the verb: ✗ 正如老师说 ✓ 正如老师所说. Without 所, switch to the spoken frame: 就像老师说的那样.
Examples
正如《三国演义》开头所说：“分久必合，合久必分。”
Just as the opening of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms says: long divided, it must unite; long united, it must divide.
正如你所料，他没有来。
Just as you expected, he did not come.
