这些、那些、哪些
these / those / which ones?
Structure
这些/那些/哪些 (+ 名词)
What it means
些 makes 这, 那 and 哪 plural: these, those, which ones? It takes the place of the measure word.
How it is built
这些/那些/哪些 (+ noun): 这个人 → 这些人 (these people). 这些书都是我的 (These books are all mine). 哪些是新的? (Which ones are new?)
When to use it
Use 些 when you don't give a number. For an exact number, use the number and a measure word instead: 这两个人 (these two people). In speech many say zhèixiē, nèixiē, něixiē.
Watch out
Nouns don't change in the plural, and 们 is only for people: ✗ 这些书们 ✓ 这些书.
Examples
这些书都是我的。
These books are all mine.
那些楼都很高。
Those buildings are all tall.
