明天会下雨
will, is likely to (a prediction)
Structure
主语 + 会 + 动词 · 不会 + 动词
What it means
Besides “can” for a learned skill, 会 says what you think will happen: 明天会下雨 (it’s going to rain tomorrow).
How it is built
Subject + 会 + verb, or 会 + 很 + adjective: 晚上会很冷 (it’ll be cold this evening). Negative: 不会. Short answer: 会 or 不会.
When to use it
Use it for things nobody fully controls, like the weather. For your own plans, just say the time and the verb: 我明天去上海.
Watch out
会 has two jobs: a learned skill (我会开车, I can drive) and a prediction (明天会下雨). Either way, the negative is 不会: 他今天不会来了.
