比如 · 尤其（是）

Structure
……，比如 A、B（等） · ……，尤其（是）+ 名词／短语
What it means
Both follow a general statement: 比如 gives examples of it (“for example”), and 尤其（是） picks out the one that stands out most (“especially”).
How it is built
Statement，比如 A、B（等）: 我去过很多城市，比如北京、杭州、桂林等. Statement，尤其（是）+ noun: 我喜欢中国菜，尤其是饺子 (I like Chinese food, especially dumplings).
When to use it
比如 lists cases evenly; 尤其 singles one out. 尤其是 can also pick out a time or situation: 这里的风景很美，尤其是下过雨以后.
Watch out
Don’t put 是 after 比如: ✗ 比如是北京 ✓ 比如北京. 比如说 is fine.

我去过很多城市，比如北京、杭州、桂林等。
I’ve been to lots of cities, for example Beijing, Hangzhou and Guilin.
我喜欢中国菜，尤其是饺子。
I like Chinese food, especially dumplings.
这里的风景很美，尤其是下过雨以后。
The scenery here is lovely, especially after rain.
