Two cars on a narrow road refused to give way to each other, and the traffic behind them was stuck for half an hour.
Tone: neutral.
Usage and origin
Of quarrels, negotiations and traffic: 双方互不相让, 吵得互不相让. The opposite is 互相谦让, each politely letting the other go first.
