Structure
情况变了／遇到困难 ， 主语 照样 动词…
What it means
‘All the same, just as before’: something carries on as usual although conditions changed or something stood in its way; often a little defiant.
How it is built
Obstacle (虽然/即使/a comma) + subject + 照样 + verb: 停电了，大家照样把年夜饭吃完了 (the power went out, but everyone finished dinner just the same).
When to use it
Spoken and neutral. 照常 (1-19) is ‘as usual’ for routines and timetables (节日期间照常营业); 依旧 (1-17) is more literary. As a verb phrase, 照样 also means ‘following a model’: 照样画一张.
Watch out
照样 goes after the subject, right before the verb: ✗照样棚里结黄瓜 ✓棚里照样结黄瓜.
Examples
外面冰天雪地，棚里照样结出了新鲜的黄瓜。
Outside it was all ice and snow, yet in the greenhouse fresh cucumbers grew all the same.
停电了，大家点上蜡烛，照样把年夜饭吃完了。
There was a power cut, so everyone lit candles and finished the New Year’s Eve dinner just the same.
他七十多岁了，每天照样下地干活。
He is past seventy, but he still goes out to work in the fields every day.
