Structure
主语 （从 起点） 一路 上涨／下跌／走高／走低／飙升 （，到 终点）
What it means
“All the way”: a figure keeps moving one way without turning back. Literally “the whole road”, as in 一路平安 (safe journey) and 一路小跑 (jog all the way).
How it is built
Subject (+ 从 + start) + 一路 + 上涨／下跌／走高／走低／飙升 (+ 到 + end): 价格从2200元一路跌到1500元 (The price slid all the way from 2,200 to 1,500 yuan).
When to use it
Financial and economic reporting. 一路 says only that it kept on rising or falling; 水涨船高 says one thing rises because something else does.
Watch out
The verb needs a direction, and 一路 goes before it: ✗一路波动 ✗下跌一路 ✓一路下跌. For ups and downs say 起伏不定 or 忽高忽低.
Examples
这一年，飞天茅台的批发价从年初的2200元左右一路下跌。
That year the wholesale price of Feitian slid all the way down from about 2,200 yuan at the start of the year.
这家公司上市以后股价一路走高，不到半年就翻了一番。
After the company listed, its share price climbed steadily and doubled in under six months.
他从家里一路小跑，总算赶上了最后一班车。
He jogged all the way from home and just managed to catch the last bus.
