What it means
A spoken, emphatic way to name the real point of an activity: what one is after is precisely this. Often it turns an objection round: the apparent drawback is exactly what you came for.
How it is built
Activity／topic + 要的就是 + 这份／这种／这个 + noun: 露营要的就是这份自在 (Freedom is the whole point of camping).
When to use it
Spoken, often as a comeback: “这么挤！”“吃火锅要的就是这个热闹。” Close to 图的就是…; 为的就是… instead gives the purpose of one action: 早起为的就是看日出.
Watch out
Keep the frame fixed: no 了 (✗要了的就是这份自在) and keep 的 (✗要就是这份自在). ✓要的就是这份自在.
Examples
露营要的就是这份自在，规矩太多就没意思了。
Freedom is the whole point of camping; with too many rules it is no fun.
“这么挤，还吃什么火锅？”“吃火锅要的就是这个热闹。”
“It is so packed; why have hotpot here?” “The bustle is the whole point of hotpot.”
