看懂 · 写错 · 做完
the result of an action: finished, done well, understood, wrong…
Structure
动词 + 完/好/懂/清楚/错/会/干净 · 没 + 动词 + 结果
What it means
A second word right after the verb tells the result of the action: 看 is only looking, 看懂 is looking and understanding; 写错 is writing it wrong.
How it is built
Verb + result (完, 好, 懂, 清楚, 错, 会, 干净): 饭做好了 (The food’s ready). Negative: 没 + verb + result: 我没听懂 (I didn’t understand).
When to use it
Use it to say whether an action worked: finished (做完), done well (做好), understood (听懂), learned (学会). With 了 it reports the result: 你写错了一个字.
Watch out
For “didn’t”, use 没 and drop 了: ✗ 我不听懂 ✓ 我没听懂. Nothing goes between verb and result: ✗ 写一个字错 ✓ 写错了一个字.
