Structure
主语 非但不／没（有） 预期的结果 ， 反而 相反的结果
What it means
'Far from …, on the contrary …': the first clause denies the expected result and 反而 brings in the opposite. 非但 is the written, more emphatic 不但.
How it is built
Subject + 非但不／没（有） + expected result + ， + 反而 + opposite: 降价非但没有带来更多客户，反而让人怀疑产品的质量 (far from bringing in customers, the price cut made people doubt the quality).
When to use it
Commentary, reports, formal speech. In conversation 不但不…反而… (lesson 3-5) or 不光没…还… is more natural; 反倒 can replace 反而. With a shared subject, 非但 comes after it: 他非但不生气….
Watch out
Don't drop the negative: ✗ 价格非但下降，反而上涨 ✓ 价格非但没有下降，反而上涨了. The first clause must say what did not happen.
Examples
欧洲厂商非但没有因为中国产品份额下降而得益，反而被其他亚洲产品抢走了更多市场。
Far from gaining as the Chinese share fell, European makers saw more of the market go to products from elsewhere in Asia.
降价非但没有带来更多客户，反而让人怀疑产品的质量。
Far from bringing in more customers, the price cut made people doubt the quality of the product.
他听了批评，非但不生气，反而向对方表示感谢。
Far from being angry at the criticism, he thanked the person who made it.
