kindly …; we respectfully ask you to …

Structure

What it means

Kindly …; we respectfully ask you to …: polite request words for emails, notices and letters.

How it is built

(Kindly reply before this Friday).

When to use it

In rising weight: 请, 烦请 (may I trouble you), 敬请 (respectfully), 恳请 (earnestly). 望 is terse and slightly top-down.

Watch out

Mind the direction: 望 to a client or senior can sound bossy; 烦请 or 敬请 is safer.
