对……来说
for (someone); from someone’s point of view
Structure
对 + 人 + 来说 ，……
What it means
“For (someone), from someone’s point of view”: says who the rest of the sentence is true for.
How it is built
对 + person + 来说，+ opinion: 对大卫来说，说中文不太难 (For David, speaking Chinese isn’t too hard).
When to use it
Put it at the front, usually before an opinion such as 很难 or 很重要. It works for groups too: 对孩子来说，这个问题太复杂了.
Watch out
Don’t leave out 来说. ✗ 对我，这很难。 ✓ 对我来说，这很难。 No need for 我觉得 as well: 对我来说 already means “I find …”.

对新员工来说，第一天最重要。
For a new hire, the first day matters most.
对孩子来说，这个问题太复杂了。
For children, this question is too complicated.
