从…转向…

to shift from A to B (direction, focus or system)

Structure
从 A 转向 B

What it means

'To shift from A to B': a change of direction, focus or system, where B is the new course.

How it is built

(Subject) + 从 A + 转向 B: 公司的重点已经从国内市场转向了海外市场 (the company's focus has shifted from the home market to markets abroad).

When to use it

Formal: policy, economics, business. Often with 逐步, 逐渐 or 开始. In speech people say 从A变成B.

Watch out

B is a new direction, focus or system; for a plain change of state or feeling, 变成 or 转为 fits better. 转 here is zhuǎn, but in 晕头转向 (to lose your bearings) it is read zhuàn.
