不见得／说不定
不见得: not necessarily; 说不定: maybe, quite possibly
Structure
主语 不见得 判断 · 说不定 可能发生的事
What it means
不见得 doubts a claim (“not necessarily; I wouldn’t be so sure”); 说不定 raises a possibility (“maybe; quite possibly”).
How it is built
不见得 + predicate: 贵的不见得好 (expensive is not necessarily good). 说不定 can open the sentence: 说不定他已经到了 (maybe he is already there).
When to use it
Both are spoken; formal writing prefers 未必 and 也许 or 或许. 不见得 is softer than a flat 不是 and can stand alone as a reply. 说不定 can be the predicate: 这事还说不定 (not settled yet).
Watch out
Do not swap them: 不见得 lowers the odds, 说不定 raises them. ✗ 别扔，不见得用得着 (that argues for throwing it out). ✓ 别扔，说不定以后用得着。
Examples
花钱让妈妈好好休息，不见得是浪费。
Spending money so a mother can rest properly is not necessarily a waste.
贵的奶粉不见得就适合你的孩子。
The expensive formula is not necessarily right for your baby.
别急着扔，说不定以后还用得着。
Don’t throw it away yet; you may well need it some day.
