A 不比 B + 形容词
A is no more … than B; A is just as … as B (rebutting a claim)
Structure
A (并) 不比 B + 形容词
What it means
Rebuts a comparison: “A is no more … than B”. 他不比我高 means he is not taller than me (about the same, or maybe shorter).
How it is built
A + (并)不比 + B + adjective: 我的工资不比你高 (I don’t earn any more than you).
When to use it
Mostly answers back a claim or assumption that A is more … than B. 并 or 一点儿也 before 不比 adds weight. Unlike 没有: 他没有我高 plainly means he is shorter.
Watch out
✗ 不比他很高 ✓ 不比他高: no 很 or 更 before the adjective. For a plain “less … than”, use 没有, not 不比.
