What it means
Something drives A on to an abstract point it would not reach by itself: a climax, new heights, the world or the market.
How it is built
Pusher + 把／将 + A + 推向 + goal: 观众跟着唱了起来，把整场晚会推向了高潮 (the audience sang along, carrying the evening to its high point). Goals: 高潮, 顶峰, 新的高度, 世界, 市场, 深入.
When to use it
Reviews and news: 把……推向高潮 marks the peak of a concert, match or celebration. 将 sounds more written than 把. For a physical push, 推到 says it arrived (把车推到路边); 推向 only gives the direction.
Watch out
It needs a pusher. ✗ 晚会推向了高潮。 ✓ 晚会达到了高潮。 or the passive ✓ 气氛被推向了高潮。

最后，所有人一起唱起《怒吼吧，黄河》，与开场的号子前后呼应，以排山倒海的气势把全曲推向高潮。
